RAWALPINDI - Five children were killed and seven others sustained injuries on Wednesday when roof of a house fell on them.
Rescue 1122 and police rushed to the place and pulled the dead and injured out by removing rubbles and later shifted them to Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH).
The deceased were identified as Nadeem, 2, Nadia, 4, Sadia, 4, Waheed, 7, and Habib,6, while those sustained injuries included Zahid, 4, Haider, 5, and Yasmeen, 10. According to sources and police, the roof of a room of the house belonging to two real brothers Sher Azam and Waheed Khan collapsed at 10:30am, killing their five children and injuring three others. Both brothers are poor labourers, sources added.
