In India Held Kashmir, police detained six citizens of Azad Jammu & Kashmir including two women who went there to meet their relatives there.

The police claimed that the citizens were found traveling to Kashmir valley through Mughal Road from Poonch city without valid travel documents. Their permit was valid only up to occupied Poonch and they had come from AJK via Rawalakot-Poonch trans-LoC bus through the Taitrinote-Chakan-Da-Bagh on ancient Rawalakot-Poonch route, says a report reaching here Tuesday from across the line of control.

The report quoted the puppet state authorities in occupied Kashmir as saying, “The AJK citizens had come to meet their divided relative in twin LoC districts of Poonch and Rajouri by the cross-LoC bus from Taitrinote-Chakan-Da-Bagh on permit. However, as per the guidelines on cross-LoC visit, the AJK citizens had to obtain permission from the deputy commissioner concerned and inform police station before visiting any other area outside the place they had checked-in”.

“The detainees have been identified as Muhammad Sharif, a resident of Barkat Colony, Gujranwala and his daughter Shahnaz Akhter, Muhammad Afzal Khan of Rawalakot, Azhar Iqbal Kayyani of Chattra Abasspur, Rawlakot and Majeeda Begum”, the report said.
