Floral wreath laid at grave of deceased cop

Islamabad - Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Sajid Kiani yesterday attended the funeral prayer of deceased Sub-Inspector Amjad Hussain, who had lost his life in an accident near Rawal Dam Chowk.

The late SI was performing duty with the squad of Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. He got critically injured in the accident when he was going for duty, said a press release.

The interior minister in his message said Amjad Hussain was a responsible police officer who always performed his duties with commitment. He also condoled with his family and prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.

On behalf of the minister for interior and Inspector General of Police Islamabad Tariq Masood Yasin, SSP Kiani, SP (Security) Jameel Ahmed Hashmi and SP Zeeshan Haider laid a floral wreath on the grave of deceased sub-inspector who was laid to rest at his native village Bharwala with official honour. A smartly turned out contingent of Islamabad police presented a guard of honour.

The two high police officers paid tribute to the cop and condoled with his family members.  They said the Islamabad police would never forget its gallant cops. There was no compensation to life, however, problems of families of deceased personnel would be solved and they would be treated as family of Islamabad police, they added.
