SYP president condemns US drone attack

Rawalpindi - President State Youth Parliament (SYP), Shaheer Sialvi yesterday condemned the US drone attack that killed the leader of Afghan Taliban in Balochistan.

He said that the strike was totally illegal and unacceptable and against the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan. He said the US unmanned aerial vehicle attack also ruined the chance of peace talks between the Taliban fighters and the Afghan government.

“The United States of America should review her policies if she wants peace in the world. The superpower may face isolation one day if she continues anti-peace policies,” said Shaheer Sialvi who is also leader of a student wing.

He urged the government to take up the matter at the United Nations so that America could be barred from launching such attacks in future. He lauded Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif for showing the country’s concerns over this great violation by the USA.

The SYP president was of view that the close ties between US and India is also a sign of worry and would create hurdles in the way of peace in South Asia.
