KARACHI - Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), the birthday of the Holy Prophet Mohamamad (PBUH) was celebrated with great religious zeal and zest in the metropolis here on Tuesday. The main procession ended in Nishtar Park, where Ulemas belonging to the AhleSunnat Community delivered religious sermons to describe different aspects of the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Jamaat-e-AhleSunnat (JAS) Ameer Maulana Shah Turab-ul-Haq Qadri, ST Chief Sarwat Ejaz Qadri, Allama Kokab Noorani Okaravi, Haji Haneef Tayyab, Allama Khalil-ul-Rehman Chushti, and others also addressed the central congregation of Milad-un-Nabi that held at Nishtar Park under the aegis of Jamaat-e-AhleSunnat. Addressing the Central congregation of Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), Shah Turab-ul-Haq underlined the need of the enforcement of Nizam-e-Mustafa (SAW) for the stability and unity in the country. Referring to the present situation of the country, he said that only the Nizam-e-Mustafa could bring peace and stability of the country. Keeping in view the recent spate of terrorism in the country, the security was put on high alert to avoid any untoward incident and the attendant of mehafil of Milad were properly verified and checked by security personnel. More than 8,000 security personnel were deployed to ensure security on the occasion while the main Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) Central procession was taken out from Boulton Market to Nishtar Park under heavy deployment of security personnel led by the Jamaat-e-AhleSunnat Ameer Maulana Shah Turab-hl-Haq Qadri along with other clerics. Meanwhile, the festivities at Nishter Park were monitored from command control centre through surveillance cameras. Earlier, Small and large processions were taken out around the city by various political and religious parties and students organisation including the Jamaat-e-AhleSunnat, Dawat-e-Islami, Tehreek-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran, Sunni Tehreek, Nizam-e-Mustafa Party, Anjuman Talba-e-Islam, Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan, Markazi Jamiat Ulema Pakistan, Anjuman Nujawanan-e-Islam, Idara-e-Tahqiqat-e-Imam Raza and others to celebrate the day. Different local, religious and social organisations also organised programs to celebrate the event. On the occasion, Naat and Quran reciting competitions were also organised. The main procession of Sunni Tehrik (ST) was taken out from Markaze Ahle Sunnat to Nishtar Park, the Central office of ST led by the Central leadership of the party to mark the celebration of the holy day. Strict security arrangements were made on this occasion as police and rangers personnel had been deployed almost in every corner of the city to avert any untoward incident. Moreover, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), City District Government, Jamshed Town, Imamia Students Organisation, Jaffaria Alliance Pakistan and other organisations installed water stalls and welcome camps across the City especially at Numaish Chowrangi for the attendants of Milad procession.
