LAHORE In a major break through, FIA investigation team has made hundred percent recovery of Rs 6 billions in National Police Foundation (NPF) scam on Friday after getting assurance of 11 Kanals land of worth Rs 190 millions to hand over to state by PML-N legislator Anjum Aqeel Khan within next couples of week, an investigator of NPF claimed on Friday. He said that the land in question is occupied by the front men of Khan and he promised in writing before the FIA on Friday to hand over the five kanals of land on Saturday while rest of six kanals would be handed over to state within next couple of weeks. Khan assured the investigation team that he will extend his full cooperation in the recovery of the land. According to officials, Khan also ensured that as per his earlier agreement, he will return Rs 5.80 billion in the form of cash and land within the stipulated period. A six-member joint inquiry team of the FIA and NPF headed by managing director NPF Zafar Ahmad Qureshi recorded the statements of Khan, Iqbal and two former additional directors of NPF, Shiekh Abdul Hanan Sheikh and Khuda Bakhsh, in the FIA Lahore office. FIA additional director General, Zafar Ahmad Qureshi has also asked all the accused of NPF to appear before investigation team on Saturday (today) to get their statements recorded. Meanwhile, FIA claimed on Friday to have arrested an human trafficker of Red book and most wanted Haji Ilyas alias Qadeer Shah. Spokesman of FIA said that accused was wanted to FIA in six human trafficking cases wherein he used to send people to Greece through Iran and Turkey. Accused is resident of Azad Kashmir and minted huge money from different innocent people on the pretext of sending them abroad. He said that FIA has also arrested another human smuggler Javed alia Jaida on Thursday who was proclaimed offender in nine cases of human trafficking.
