ISLAMABAD - The MQM is all set to seriously take up the matter of recent killings of its workers in Karachi with President Asif Ali Zardari in the upcoming meeting. Senior MQM members have almost prepared a detailed list of their workers who were recently killed, and this would be shared with the President for taking proper action, MQM senior leader told The Nation on Friday. With all other demands including unseating Zulfiqar Mirza as Sindh Home Minister and an open dissociation of Pakistan Peoples Party from Peoples Aman Committee, the sources said that party members may also ask for fixing responsibility on any one over the recent killing incidents or taking immediate steps in this regard. Party sources said that apart from other issues, the MQM leadership was not making many strong statements over these killings as they were evolving strategy to take up the matter at a high-level. To keep the pressure on the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leadership, the MQM members had decided to stay away from the proceedings of the Sindh Assembly and upcoming sessions of the National Assembly and Senate. MQM delegation, the sources said, in its recent meeting with the President also shared a short list of criminals in Sindh province, mainly in Karachi.
