LAHORE – Steps taken by Punjab Govt. and latest agricultural technology developed by agricultural scientists have contributed significantly in increasing agricultural production, said Agriculture Minister.

Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh, while presiding over 37th meeting of senate of University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, added that in order to meet new challenges agricultural research strategies should be changed.

Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan informed about the facilities provided by UAF for the people of remote areas and established university campuses at T.T. Singh and Burewala to fulfill educational requirements of these areas. He informed that Range Management and Forest College has been approved at Layyah. He said at present 13000 students are studying at the University and the university building has capacity for admitting 30000 students. He informed that at present 400 Ph.D teachers are imparting education to the students. He informed that on excellent performance of UAF Islamic Development Bank awarded prize to the university in 2012.
