PESHAWAR - Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday announced to formally launch its elections campaign from a public gathering to be held on March 23 at Motorway Chowk near Ring Road in Peshawar.
Addressing a press conference here at the Press Club, Shabir Ahmad Khan, JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa General Secretary, and also a candidate for the NA-1 Peshawar claimed that their gathering would prove in bringing a real change and revolution in the country. He also alleged that NADRA had blocked thousands of the Computerized CNIC of the people of KPK and FATA on pretext of doubts.
Shabir expressed grave concern that if decision was not took regarding the blocked cards thousands voter would become deprived of their right to vote.
, therefore he asked the Election Commission of Pakistan to direct Nadra for issuing blocked cards within 10 days. He also alleged that MPAs and MNAs of ruling parties of KP were being used Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) for increasing their vote banks, he demanded of ECP to stop immediately this act. He informed that JI Ameer Munawar Hassan addressed the public gathering.
