QUETTA - Governor Balochistan Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi on Monday welcomed the Pak-Iran gas pipeline inauguration and said that it would reduce the ongoing energy crisis in the country.

In a statement issued here, he said that concluding such a treaty with a brotherly country was a historic event in the history of the country, adding, that which would not only help reduce the energy crisis in the country but would also boost the economy of the country.

He said that since a large part of the pipeline is to be constructed in Balochistan, the native people should be given utmost benefits from the project.

Magsi also expressed his optimism that the project would also benefit the province and would prove a milestone for the economy of the country.
