LAHORE – Punjab Karate Championship will be held from March 30 at Sahwail under the auspices of Punjab Karate Association (PKF).

“In all, 18 districts of the province will showcase their talent in the event which is for both men and women,” said PKA secretary M Bashir Butt here on Monday.

He said Lahore would be defending the title in the two-day championship which aimed at unearthing new talent to broaden the base of the game of karate.

“Men will be taking part in eight weight categories including 50kgs, 55kgs, 60kgs, 65kgs, 75kgs and above 75kgs, individual kata and team kata while women will be displaying their potential in 48ks, 52kgs, above 52 kgs and individual kata,” he added.

Former Provincial Minister for food Malik Nadim Kamran will be the chief guest the prize distribution ceremony, he concluded.
