Rescuers recover body of drowned child





RAWALPINDI – Rescue 1122 divers recovered the dead body of 12-year-old boy, who slipped in Nullah Leh while playing at Gulraiz area a day ago, here on Monday.
Later, police shifted the dead body to District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital for autopsy. According to Sub-Inspector (SI) Muhammad Arshad, who is dealing with the case, the deceased namely Muhammad Ahsan fell into Nullah Leh on Sunday while playing and drowned. A gypsy lady seen the incident and informed police, he said adding that Rescue 1122 was called but the divers could not find the dead body of boy.
However, the divers resumed the search operation again on Monday and found the dead body.
Reportedly, a 10-year-old child Waqar also died after falling in the street from rooftop of his house in the limits of Police Check Post Girja. Nonetheless, police did not confirm the incident.
