Two killed, 7 hurt as blast rocks Landhi


KARACHI - At least two people were killed and seven others injured in a bomb blast in Landhi Town here on Monday.
Police said a low intensity bomb went off near a cabin along roadside in Khurram Abad area of Landhi Town No.2. The rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to JPMC for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively.
Two people killed in the blast were identified as 40-year-old Shamsher, son of Shamshad, and 13-year-old Allyan. The injured were Arsalan 10, Rehan 25, Akhtar 30, Numan 18, Parvaiz 28, Naveed 27 and Abdul Sattar 35.
Police and Rangers personnel reached on the spot and cordoned off the areas.
Meanwhile, the MQM Organisational Committee has said that everyone knows who patronising criminal elements in Karachi. Member of the MQM's local organisational committee said in Karachi that up till government officials will continue patronising the criminal elements, till then crimes would not come to an end in the metropolis.
Criminal groups are involved in all crimes including money extortion, kidnap for ransom in the city while govt representatives are openly supporting these professional criminals here, added the MQM organizational committee.
