Amir Khan donates Rs800,000
LAHORE (PR): International Champion Boxer Amir Khan through his initiative AK Foundation donated rations worth Rs800,000 to almost 250 deserving families at an event held in the Dandot Region, Punjab.
The event held in collaboration with the revived Dandot Cement Company was much appreciated by the recipients amongst who are severely destitute, widows, orphans and the elderly.

Daewoo, BISP ink MoU
Lahore (Staff Reporter): Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and Daewoo Pakistan Express Bus Service signed an MoU on Tuesday.
As per the memorandum of understanding, Daewoo Pakistan will provide training and apprenticeship to BISP beneficiaries in its different fields. Jahangir Alam Chohan DG (W-Rozgar) BISP and Faisal Sadique, Vice-president of Daewoo Pakistan signed the agreement.
Chairman BISP Enver Biag said that BISP beneficiaries will be able to make themselves economically strong due to this historical agreement. He said the first priority of the government was to empower poor people and to bring them out of vicious poverty circle.
The MoU between BISP and Daewoo will be helpful in eradicating unemployment, he added.
Faisal Sadique said that Daewoo will provide vocational training of different fields of transport to nominated BISP beneficiaries of Waseela-e-Rozgar program so that they would be able to take their families out of the extreme poverty. He appreciated the efforts of Chairman BISP for poverty alleviation.
Secretary BISP, Haseeb Ather, President Daewoo Pakistan C.I.Park, DG (Cash Grants) Dr. Mukhtar, DG (Admin) Rizwan Malik, Director (Chairman Office) Mr. Waqas Hanif, Director (HQ) Muhammad Irfan and Vice President Daewoo were also present on the occasion. 

Protest against privatisaion
LAHORE (PR): Thousands of Elecy. & Wapda workers held a procession in Islamabad on Tuesday under to protest against the proposed privatisation of FESCO, IESCO and LESCO and Muzaffargarh Thermal Power House. The workers participated from all the four provinces while the representatives from Railway, PTCL, Textile, Banks and other Industrial Trade Unions also joined them for solidarity.
The workers were carrying banners against the proposed Privatisation and high price-hike and aggravating unemployment.  The rally was addressed by Khurshd Ahmed and Abdul Latif Nizamani, Ghor Taj, Agha Muhammad (Balochistan), Javaid Balochand other representatives of the Union.
