Three Thar minors die in hospital

HYDERABAD - Three children who were brought to Liaquat University Hospital from drought-hit areas of Tharparkar district died while eight others were under treatment and two had been discharged.
The Medical Superintendent Liaquat University Hospital City Branch Dr Khalid Hussain Qureshi while talking to this scribe on Tuesday informed that newly born two-day old babies Babo son of Washdave and baby Samina who were brought on Monday from Mithi town had died despite providing due medical care. 
Another patient Farzana suffering from pneumonia brought from Mithi on March 8 breathed her last in the hospital, he added.
Fahmida a four-year-old patient of Dhatora poison and Rashid son of Akbar three-years old boy suffering from same disease were brought to hospital from Chachro on March 10 have been discharged from the hospital after completion of their medical treatment, he added.
He informed that seven-years-old patient of intestinal obstruction Majid son of Muhammad brought on March 10 from Mithi town has been admitted to Surgical Unit-I while five-years-old baby Amanat suffering from Meningitis with fever and chest infection has been admitted in Paediatricts Unit-I.
The Medical superintendent further informed that the 10 months old Jeso son of Jetho patient of pneumonia/malnutrition, four-years-old Raju daughter of Bhomo patient of Tetanus and one month old Mukhesh son of Halo brought from Mithi on March 8 and 9 were being treated in Paediatricts Unit-II.
Three years old Rajoo son of Lachman patient of Meningitis and Shahmir son of Mocharo Samejo patient of Meningitis brought from Umerkot have also been admitted in the same ward and getting medical treatment, he stated.
