15 booked for not providing tenants’ details

Rawalpindi - Police booked 15 landlords and tenants for not providing tenants’ data to concerned police stations, informed police spokesman on Wednesday.
According to him, officials of police stations Ratta Amral, City, Ganjmandi and New Town registered cases against 15 house owners and their tenants under section 11 Punjab Information of Temporary Residence 2015 Act for not providing police with details of tenants.
Those who were booked and arrested by police included Zahid, Taseer, Sadiq, Inam Ullah, Hakim Ullah, Mamdoon, Ghulab Zamin, Salim and Shehzad (all were tenants), Sabir Ali, Imran Bashir, Nawab Uddin, Ali Raza and Munir (house owners).
On the other hand, police during a drive against anti-social elements arrested 19 outlaws, drug peddlers, kite sellers and illegal arms holders and recovered 3,475 grams of hashish, 72 litres alcohol, 6 pistols of 30-bore with 9 bullets and 800 kites from their possession. Cases were registered against all the detainees while further investigation was underway, the spokesman added.
