Army win All Pakistan National Cross Country Ski

Army lifted the 4th All Pakistan National Cross Country Ski Championship 2015 trophy, while Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts remained second and Gilgit-Baltistan Ski Association got the third.
CAA grabbed the fourth position despite fielding junior team in the competition. Army high altitude snow school and ski resort Rattu district Astore of Gilgit-Baltistan in collaboration with Ski Federation of Pakistan (SFP) arranged the three-day snow gala and national cross country 2015 championship, which concluded Wednesday. Various ski teams including PAF, Army, CAA, GB Scouts and GB ski association participated in the events. M Ramazan won gold for Army while his Ishaq Khan and Zubair Khan won silver and bronze for GB Scouts.
The commandant Army Snow School Rattu distributed the prizes and appreciated the skills of the skiers. He also lauded the talent available in Gilgit-Baltistan and said: “It is high time to attract youth to the winter games. Army snow school and the ski federation are striving hard to promote the winter game and trying to provide proper training to the interested athletes.”
“The cross-country ski is very famous in the world and over the years, athletes are attracting to this category. The time is not far when our athletes will shine in the world,” he concluded.
