Telenor wins SKMCH&RC award

ISLAMABAD (PR): Telenor Pakistan has been awarded the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre’s ‘Social Responsibility Award’ for the fourth consecutive year. Telenor Pakistan annually contributes to the cause of SKMT through SMS fundraising campaigns and volunteer activities with cancer patients and their attendants. Atifa Asghar, Director Corporate Communications and Responsibility, Telenor Pakistan received the award on behalf of the company from Imran Khan, Chairman SKMCH&RC.

PITB to computerise Punjab Police record

LAHORE (PR): Government of the Punjab has decided to computerize each and every record of the Punjab police through an Inventory Management System launched by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Lahore. This was stated by the PITB Chairman Dr Umar Saif during a meeting here. He said that the pilot project worth Rs. 16.0 million would be kicked off in Lahore for which main server for monitoring is scheduled to be established in Central Police Office Lahore or at PITB headquarters.

IMechE meeting in Lahore

LAHORE (PR): Institution of Mechanical Engineers UK, Pakistan Group (IMechE) will host the Southern Asia Region Meeting 2015 on March 13-14 in Lahore for the first time. Sikandar M Khan (Chairman, IMechE Pakistan Group and Millat Group of Companies), Paul Arora (Chairman, India Branch), Sam Perera (Chairman, Sri Lanka Group) and David Micah How (Bangladesh Representative) and the other delegate members of the regional countries will be participating. The two day event will have Southern Asia Region (SAR) Board Meeting and fellowship/networking reception and dinner. The objective of the meeting is to identify, evaluate and for implementing the ways to promote and enhance the activities of Institution of mechanical engineers within SAR.
