LANDIKOTAL - Flash floods caused by incessant rains destroyed dozens of houses in different areas of the Khyber Agency. Sources said that roofs and walls of several houses in Gagra collapsed due to floods and heavy rains in Fatimikhel and surrounding areas of tehsil Landikotal of Khyber Agency.
Rain water inundated several houses and destroyed the households forcing the residents of the affected areas to flee to safer places.
The affectees have demanded of the Federal government and political administration of Khyber Agency for compensation and providing them shelter. Meanwhile, PTI led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has assured the affected population of compensating them so that they could restart their normal living.
