NAB arrests main accused of fake housing scheme

ISLAMABAD - The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi on Wednesday arrested main accused Muhammad Faiz, Managing Director of EGO International, for introducing a fake housing scheme and cheating public at large.
Muhammad Faiz had launched the housing society ‘Rahman Gardens’ in Rawalpindi and looted hard-earned money (Rs.12.5 million) of people by promising plots and disappeared from the scene.
The accused will be produced before the Accountability Court tomorrow for grant of physical remand.
Earlier, Chairman NAB chaired a meeting to review welfare measures of NAB Employees.
The Senior Member (CI&MT) gave briefing to him about the welfare steps for NAB employees.
He said NAB’s Inspection & Monitoring Team (CI&MT) conducted annual inspection of NAB, all regional Bureaus and NAB Headquarters and highlighted their strengths and weaknesses on the basis of quantified grading system which was devised first time in NAB’s history.
On the occasion, the Chairman NAB constituted a committee which will review welfare measures for NAB employees and submit its report within two weeks for further deliberations as per rules.
