ISLAMABAD - A three-member delegation from the US Institute of Peace, led by Nancy Lindborg, the President of the USIP, called on Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Syed Tariq Fatemi on Wednesday.
The SAPM highlighted the steps taken by the present government to counter the menace of terrorism effectively through initiatives like the National Action Plan, besides making efforts for peace in the neighbourhood through focus on dialogue and cooperation.
 He also underscored steps taken by the government for Pakistan’s economic revival and good governance.
The delegation recognised Pakistan’s efforts to curb terrorism and acknowledged the sacrifices made by Pakistan in this regard.
Pakistan’s mature approach towards its bilateral relations with its neighbours was also appreciated.
