Madrassas dubbed ‘guardian of ideological frontiers’

Madrasas are playing a vital role for the protection of ideological frontiers of the country, Wafaqul Madaris Arabia Provincial Ameer Qazi Abdul Rasheed declared on Friday.
Addressing a press conference at Madrasa Ashrafia Qurania, he said that that Wafaqul Madaris is a big network which has 18,500 affiliated madrasas across the country wherein 2.2 million male and female students are being imparted religious and conventional education.
He pointed out that more than 100,000 students become Hafiz-e-Quran in a year whereas in Saudi Arabia only 5,000 students become Hafiz-e-Quran. He said that currently 7,500 Pakistan Qari are teaching Holy Quran in Saudi Arabia.
“We believe in integrity and solidarity of the country,” he declared, adding that Istehkam-e-Madrasas and Istehkam-e-Pakistan conference is scheduled to be held in Gulshen-i-Iqbal Park Lahore on April 3 which would prove milestone in the national cohesion.
ISLAMIC JUSTICE SYSTEM: The Islamic justice system is inevitable to end oppression and suppression from society and create a peaceful atmosphere in the country, Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Secretary Bilal Qudrat Butt said.
While addressing JI workers here on Friday, he said that corruption and loot khasoot of national exchequer is the basic cause of poverty, unemployment and inflation in the country. He said that the Jamaat is determined to eliminate corruption and called on the workers to unite to save the country from this menace. He said that JI is determined to launch countrywide campaign shortly to weed out corruption from the country.
