PIA suspends 2 officials after arrest of steward with heroin in Paris

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) authorities suspended its two officials after recovery of heroin from PIA steward in Paris the other day.

PIA steward Tanveer Alam was caught red-handed with heroin by security personnel at Paris Airport the other day and over his information, another flight steward Amir Moeen was also taken into custody.

The PIA authorities not only suspended the two stewards but also the two officials Arif Butt and Haroon Ahmed, belonging to flight scheduling department, who assigned the duty to the two stewards.

The spokesman of PIA warned of strict action against the employees and officials found involved in drugs smuggling or any other illegal activity.
