APP MD passes away

ISLAMABAD - Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) Managing Director and senior officer information group Muhammad Khalid Sarwar passed away Sunday morning.
He was also performing services as Director General Information Services Academy. The funeral prayer (Namaz-e-Janaza) of the deceased would be offered after Magrib prayers on Monday (today), house no 17, street 32, sector-C, DHA-1
Khalid Sarwar was born in New Delhi on May 18, 1954 and joined information group in April 5, 1980. Khalid Sarwar, aged near 60, who left two sons and widow behind, was to retire on May 18, 2014. He served on different positions during his tenure including press minister at Pakistan High Commission, New Delhi, from July 2011-March 2012.
He also worked as speech writer/deputy secretary during 1993-1995. Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Pervaiz Rashid expressed his heartfelt condolence over the sad demise of Khalid Sarwar. In a message, the minister said services of the deceased would be remembered as he worked with honesty and dedication in all his service tenure and made valuable contribution through his work. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to his family to bear the loss with fortitude.
Senate Chairman Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari and Deputy Chairman Sabir Ali Baloch also expressed condolences over the demise of Khalid Sarwar.
In their separate messages, they prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
Meanwhile, Leader of the House in the Senate, Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq and Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Aitzaz Ahsan also condoled the sad demise of the MD.
They prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss with patience.
