KARACHI - Angry residents of the Saeedabad area killed two robbers. The robbers were tried to escape after killing a worker of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in a robbing bid. The incident took place at Sector 4-D, Memon Society in the jurisdiction of Saeedabad police station in the wee hours of Tuesday. Three armed men riding a motorcycle came and tried to rob the people present at the tea cafe. They shot Abdul Karim, 27, when he showed resistance during snatching of mobile phone. They tried to escape from the scene when people gathered and caught two out of three said men and started torturing them brutally. Their third accomplice was managed to escape from the scene. Deceased Karim was the resident of Sector 4-A, who was sitting at the tea cafT when the incident occurred. He used to work in the local factory and had left three children. The sources said that the angry mob also opened fire on them. As a result both sustained injuries. One of them was died on the spot while another succumbed to his injuries at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The deceased robbers were then shifted to Edhi morgue, Sohrab Goth for identification.
