Arrived? What now?

"Obama administration has been negotiating highly sensitive issues with the Pakistani military. These include allowing specially trained American units to provide added security for the Pakistani nuclear arsenal in case of a crisis" writes Seymour Hersh in his recent article for The New Yorker. "The specially-trained American units are coming to Pakistan" is the stark revelation that has jolted the whole nation. Our rulers have refuted the article by Hersh but Americans, by all accounts, have arrived in our midst in the form of Blackwater (now called XE Worldwide). Whether they have come to protect our warheads or to wreak havoc in our cities by patronizing the terrorists, we don't know. Are we so incapable that we can't even guard our nuclear arsenal? Or we are in such deep slumber that we can't even see the activities of the Americans in our midst? -NABEEL ANWAR DHAKKU, Chakwal, November 10.
