KARACHI - A man slaughtered his teenage stepdaughter whose wedding was scheduled for the next month. Twenty one-year-old Rehana, the daughter of Nasarullah was slaughtered in her house No-16 Street No-9 Masoomabad, Orangi Town in the remits of Iqbal Market Police. According to details, the incident occurred in wee hours as family woke up and informed the police about the incident. The Police reached the spot and took the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, which was later handed over to her family. The Police lodged a case on the complaint of the deceased brother Rashid under No 329/09 under Section 302, against Rehanas stepfather Imtiaz Khan. The Police said that the accused hailed from Peshawar, had two wives, first wife residing in his hometown Peshawar while he got his second marriage with widow and mother of deceased some 12 years ago. Imtiaz whose first wife is also from a Pakhtoon background, has five daughters and three sons from her first marriage. The accused runs a butcher shop in Qasba Colony and at the time of incident, the deceaseds mother was not at home while her brothers were asleep. The Police quoted the statement of the complainant Rashid that Imtiaz usually stop his mother from meeting with her relatives therefore when he came back home and found that she was not at home he became angry and killed his sister. The Police suspected that there was contradiction in the statements of the family members as some said that there was a dispute between the deceaseds mother and father over her wedding and they also quoted her age 14 though deceased was around 21 years old. Locals kill dacoit The firing of locals killed an alleged dacoit here in Sohrab Goth area. The incident took place in Ganjal Goth in the jurisdiction of Sohrab Goth Police early morning. The Police officials said that some four to five culprits were looting Inayat, a security guard who was returning to his home when the armed men held him hostage and entered his house. Upon screaming of the security guard, the residents gathered there and cordoned off the house. The culprits then tried to flee from the scene under the cover of firing while the residents also opened fire at them. During crossfire, one dacoit was killed who was later identified as Shakeel, son of Mast Ali. The police have registered an FIR No 803/09. In another incident, the Korangi Industrial Area Police found a bullet-raddled body of a youth. The Police said the victim was killed after being abducted and later culprits thrown his body in factory area. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal formalities and later shifted to Edhi mortuary for identification. Police volunteer killed in Korangi The Police said that unknown culprits riding a motorcycle targeted 28-year-old Shan alias Shani in Zia Colony sector 32-B in Korangi area. The deceased was police national volunteer. The body was brought to JPMC for legal formalities. The Police termed it as target killing while the cause of murder yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, a woman committed suicide over a domestic issue here on Wednesday. The Police said that the incident took place in Sherpao Colony in the jurisdiction of Landhi Police wherein 28-year-old Farzana, wife of Parvez committed suicide over some family dispute. The Police said that the deceased took some sort of poisonous stuff to end her life. The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities and later handed over to the family.
