Pakistan's trade deficit widened to $1.37 billion in October compared with $1.98 billion in October last year, the Federal Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday. The deficit was $897 million in September. Exports stood at $1.59 billion in October, against $1.48 billion in the same month last year. Imports were worth $2.97 billion in October compared with $3.46 billion in the same month last year. The trade deficit in the 2008/09 (July-June) fiscal year narrowed to $17.04 billion compared with $20.91 billion in the 2007/08 fiscal year.
