LAHORE - Punjab Benazir Income Support Programme Director General Akbar Aleem Shamim has said that BISP is working for poor families. This is the initiative taken by the Govt. of Pakistan to give financial assistance to the families below the poverty line and to eradicate the poverty from Pakistan, says a press release. He said that door to door poverty survey is in progress. The aim of this survey is to enlist accurate data of the deserving poor families across the country. With the help of this survey, the criterion will be used to give financial assistance to the deserving families in a transparent way. There should be no doubt about the genuineness of this survey. He further added that last week Lahore Division BISP clarified the workshop participants that the survey process is going on without any political interference. Our survey teams are visiting door to door for collecting data of the families.
