ISLAMABAD - The United Nations High Commissioner for Afghan Refugees (UNHCR) has unveiled a voluntary repatriation scheme for registered Afghan refugees in Pakistan, sources said on Sunday.According to details, the registered Afghan refugees living in Baclochistan and Khyber Pukhtunkhewa would be initially entitled to avail the scheme by December 30, 2012. The same would be offered to registered Afghan refugees in other parts of Pakistan after completion of the first phase. Special facilitation centres have been set up in Balochsitan and Khyber Punkhtunkhewa provinces in those parts adjacent to the refugees’ camps. According to official estimates, there were more than 15m Afghan refugees still living in Pakistan.
