ISLAMABAD - Amir JUI-F,Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday alleged that the US wanted to hold sway over this region’s politics and it is present here to seize its resources.Addressing ‘Aalmi Ittehad Ummat-e-Muslima conference’ at the Convention Centre here, he termed the overall law and order situation as poor and there exists no rule of law in Balochistan.He stressed the need to provide protection to the seminaries (Madaris). He said he does not support the Shariah implementation at gun-point and ,added, that the upholders of democracy did not respect the masses aspirations and kept the people of the country away from Shariah Muhammadi.He said that the country and especially the Balochistan and Karachi and some areas of FATA are facing the worst kind of law and order situation, adding, the innocent people are killed daily but the government has badly failed to overcome the crisis. He said that despite lesser seats in the Parliament, the JUI-F gave tough time to the Treasury benches and did not allow the government to make laws or make amendments in accordance with its aspirations. Conspiracies were being hatched against Islam and the Muslims of the world should collectively foil them, he added. About the inclusion of Jamaat-e-Islami in the Muttahid Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), he said that JI Amir Syed Munawar Hassan and Qazi Hussain Ahmad would decide on this matter. Maulana said that it is not the time to boycott the general elections, ,adding, that all the political parties should fully participate in the elections process so that the democratic system could prevail in the country.Speaking on the occasion‚ Qazi Hussain Ahmad said that unity of Muslim Ummah is need of the hour. He observed that today Islam is being targeted by the world forces on pretext of freedom of expression.Qazi Hussain announced that an agitation would be launched to press the government for implementing the recommendations of Council of Islami Ideology (CII).
