Like many other scholars, writers, intellectuals and political scientists, I strongly believe that our prime enemies today are poverty, illiteracy and lack of good governance, absence of genuine democracy and federalism, and the rule of law. However, I appeal to our ruling elite, the political leadership to let us all refrain from distressful cynicism and hateful remarks. Instead we should jointly and positively make endeavours to contribute to making our country a truly democratic, prosperous and federal Pakistan a cohesive and unified nation of many ethnicities and four federating units.
