LAHORE  - The public sector LPG producers have increased the commodity base price by Rs 7,000 per ton.

According to market sources, the LPG produces increased the commodity price by Rs 7,000 per ton due to an increase of $61 per ton in the Saudi Aramco price, taking the total from $838 per ton to $899 per ton.

The retail LPG prices have been increased by Rs7 per kg, Rs80 per domestic cylinder of 15kg and Rs320 per commercial cylinder, according to LPG Distributors Association chairman. The association claimed the prices had been increased without notification of Ogra, appealing the authority to take action against the producers for unjustified raise in liquefied petroleum gas prices.

Gas price in different cities are: in Karachi, Rahimyar Khan, Sukkur and Hyderabad one kg gas was being sold at Rs130, while domestic gas cylinder was available at Rs 1,510. Rs 1,570 was charged for domestic gas cylinder and Rs 135 was charged for per kg gas in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Guhranawla, Gujrat, Sialkot, Okara, Attock, Mirpur, Jhelum, Bhawalpur, Multan and D.G Khan. The LPG was available in Gilgit Baltistan, Fata, Muzafarabad, Bagh, Narran, Kaghaan, Murree and Nathia Guli at Rs155 per kg, while domestic gas cylinder was being sold at Rs 1,810.
