HAFIZABAD: Armed men robbed people of gold ornaments, cash and other valuables wroth Rs1.8 million rupees in three different hits. According to police source, some unidentified burglars broke into the house of Shakeel Akhtar Butt in Mohallah Bahawalpura Gharbi when he was away from his house and made off with cash Rs40,000, 25-tola gold ornaments, precious wrist watches worth Rs70,000, laptop and foreign currency.
Second burglary took place in street No 3 of the same locality in the house of Malik Iftikhar Ahmad from where the accused snatched away TV set and other valuables worth thousands of rupees.–Reporter
In the third incident in the same locality, two armed men stormed into the house of Dr Muhammad Arshad, locked the occupants of the house in a room and fled away with household articles and cell phones worth thousands of rupees.
