Rawalpindi- Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif chaired the 176th Corps Commanders’ Conference at the General Headquarters earlier today.

Participants of the conference were given detailed briefing on overall security situation of the country with particular reference to progress of the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Operation ‘Khyber-I’. They expressed to continue operations till success.

General Raheel Sharif took all his officers into confidence over his recent visit to Kabul, saying that bilateral cooperation in the field of defence and security was increasing between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The meeting also reviewed the country's internal security along the Line of Control (LoC) and working boundary.

The COAS is also set to embark on a week-long US visit on November 16.
