Pakistan Awami Tehreek Central President Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi has demanded the formation of a national government and holding of general elections after the introduction of electoral reforms.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr Abbasi opposed the proposed decision of the government to appoint any of the Balochistan Police’s officers as head of joint investigation team to probe Model Town incident.
He held the Punjab government responsible for Kot Radha Kishan incident, alleging that during the rule of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif minorities had always faced such excesses. He blamed the Punjab government for patronising terrorists and extremists. He regretted that on one hand the government was making tall claims while on the other injustice and extra-judicial killings were rampant.
