Lahore: IG Police Punjab Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has said that at least 40 hard core militants and 69 robbers were arrested, during the current year as part of the National Action Plan.

In a statement issued today, he said that the crime graph has declined in the province following the forceful implementation of the NAP. “Terrorism has declined remarkably. Several terrorists have been arrested during different raids besides registering 574 cases against people for printing hate material,” the IG said.

He said that a remarkable drop has been witnessed in murder, attempt to murder, robbery and kidnapping for ransom cases, as compared to the previous year.
