Islamabad - The local administration yesterday visited canteens of government and private hospitals and found hygiene condition unsatisfactory over there.
Assistant Commissioner Kamran Cheema along with the magistrate and the food committee raided the canteen of Kalsoom International Hospital in Blue Area and fined it Rs 50,000 over poor sanitary conditions. The team also visited cafeteria of the CDA Hospital and sealed it after finding unsatisfactory hygiene conditions. The raids are part of the city government’s efforts to ensure healthy food to the citizens of the city.
Meanwhile, Islamabad police have arrested 12 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered two stolen bikes, cash, narcotics and valuables from their possession, a police spokesman said yesterday.
According to details, Aabpara police arrested Kamran and Sohail and recovered two stolen bikes, cash, cell phones, LED and other stolen valuables from their possession.
Secretariat police arrested Tasawwar and recovered one 12-bore gun along with ammunition from him. Bhara Kahu police arrested Ayub Khan, Amir Kareem and Wali Khan for having one gun, one 9MM pistol along with 139 bullets and 15 grams heroin.
Anti-car lifting cell of Islamabad police recovered one 30-bore pistol from an accused Jahangir while Khanna police arrested Rafaqat Yunus and recovered one 30-bore pistol along with ammunition from him. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is under way.
