Speakers called for early peaceful settlement of the Kashmir issue in line with the aspirations of the people of the Jammu & Kashmir without further delay through tripartite talks among Pakistan, India and the people of Kashmir.

Speaking at a reception hosted in his honour here Wednesday by Central Senior Vice Chairman J&K Peoples National Party Zulfiqar Ahmed Raja Advocate, Gilgit/Baltistan Legislative Assembly member Nawaz Khan Naaji said that Jammu & Kashmir state, comprising five units of AJK, GB, Held Kashmirand Ladakh regions, is inalienable entity and no power on earth could divide.

Former chief justice of AJK High Court and President Jammu & Kashmir Liberation League Justice (Retd) Abdul Majeed Mallick, ex Mirpur District Bar Association Presidents Sardar Ejaz Nazir Advocate and Azeem Dutt Advocates, Aslam Watnoof, Amin Beg Advocate and others also addressed the ceremony.

They said that people of Jammu & Kashmir from across the LoC should be included in the composite dialogue between India and Pakistan to ensure the early resolution of the decades old Kashmir dispute in line with the aspirations of the people of the state.

The speakers said that international community including America and the western world were also showing keen interest for the early peaceful solution to Kashmir issue. “It could be assessed through the fact that major powers including United States and the western world are stressing for the early peaceful solution to the issue through meaningful dialogue between India and Pakistan.

They reminded the UNO to fulfill its commitments for holding the plebiscite in Jammu & Kashmir under the spirit of its historic resolutions for the early settlement of the Kashmir problem. They declared that Jammu & Kashmir is the centuries old single entity and every global attempt to divide the internationally-acknowledged disputed state on ethnic or otherwise ground will be strongly resisted and frustrated.
