Mushahidullah lambasts govt for ‘begging’ from foreigners

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senator Mushahidullah Khan on Monday, while speaking in the Senate, blasted the government for its incompetence and for ‘begging’ from foreign countries.

The PML-N leader also criticised the prime minister for talking about corruption during his China trip, saying that even a dictator wouldn’t resort to such tactics abroad.

“You were washing the dirty linen of Pakistan abroad. It was painful to see that,” he said.

Mushahid also urged the PM Imran Khan to fulfill his promise of appearing before Parliament to answer opposition queries.

Later, Fawad Chaudry came in the line of fire. The senator criticized Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, who is often under scrutiny by opposition for his no-hold-barred comments against them. He asked the prime minister to remove him from the position.

His comments resulted in an uproar by PTI senators who asked the PML-N leader to check his language and apologise—which he refused.
