The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal has barred all DGS, directors and other officers of the bureau from giving any interview to print and/or electronic media.
However, the NAB spokesperson would be the pertinent authority to give any point of view of the NAB if media seeks information of any case or reference.
NAB chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal had already took notice of NAB Lahore director general’s (DG) recent television interviews. The NAB chief has also sought a complete record of Shahzad’s interview from the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) so that action could be taken in the light of the law.
The NAB chairman stated that a complete record of Shahzad’s interview has been sought from PEMRA so that action could be taken in the light of law. However, the chairman has also given a detail briefing in Lahore on mega corruption cases and briefing would continue today Tuesday.
