Information Minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhary has said that Pakistan gives high importance to its relations with European Union (EU).

While talking to Ambassador of European Union in Islamabad on Monday, he said that the PTI led government will move forward with objectives of development, human rights and rule of law in the country.

The government believes that freedom of expression is a constitutional and basic right and Pakistani media has unprecedented freedom of expression in the country, he added.

The minister said that the government will continue the provision of facilities in development of a responsible and independent media.

The federal government is committed to implement its reforms agenda for Naya Pakistan, promotion of tourism and eradication of corruption are the part of this agenda, he concluded.
