Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is a "black law" and should be abolished.

While speaking to the media in Lahore, he said, "Everyone knows that the Ashiana Iqbal Housing Scheme case has no strength and now a case has been formed against Shehbaz Sharif pertaining to Ramzan Sugar Mills."

"NAB is a black law and should be abolished," Abbasi asserted.

The former premier stated, "Prime Minister Imran Khan levelled allegations against me and my cabinet members."

"Nothing will happen by levelling allegations and if PM Imran wants to find those who were involved in corruption then he should look around himself," the PML-N leader added.

Abbasi maintained, "Nothing can be achieved by defaming others and just talking. If corruption has been done, it should be brought forward."

The Accountability Court in Lahore on Saturday extended the physical remand of Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif until November 24 in the Ashiana Iqbal Housing Scheme case.

During the hearing, the NAB prosecutor informed the court that Shehbaz was nominated and under arrest in the Ramzan Sugar Mills corruption case as well.
