ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Sunday took the political leadership of the country into confidence regarding recent development on the Kerry-Lugar Bill (KLB) and assured that the final decision about acceptance or otherwise of the bill would be taken on the conclusion of the ongoing debate on the bill in the Parliament. He informed the political elite that the United States would be conveyed the final decision of the Parliament in that regard. Those who were taken into confidence on KLB by the Premier Gilani included Mian Shahbaz Sharif, President of PML-N, Ch Shujaat Hussain, President of PML-Q, Pir Pagara, Chief of PML-F, Altaf Hussain, Quaid of MQM, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, JUI-F Chief, Imran Khan, Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, Asfandyar Wali, President of ANP, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, President Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), Syed Munawar Hassan, Amir of Jamat-e-Islami, Munir Khan Orakzai, Leader of FATA parliamentarians, Ch Pervaiz Elahi of PML-Q, and Dr Farooq Sattar of MQM. The Premier assured them that national response to KLB would be formulated after the conclusion of debate in the Parliament.
