Mr. Mehboob Alam Kaleems 'Ch. Sunflower (The Nation 6.10.09) is an interesting read though I have my reservations about his views. Why single out the Chaudhries of Gujrat when worship of the rising sun, the only established short cut to political glory in Pakistan, has become a norm with most of the heavy weights in our national politics. May I suggest we replace jasmine, our national flower, with sunflower, which we all know is a native of Americas. -DR. SHAHID QAYYUM, Lahore, October 9.
