ISLAMABAD (APP) - National Logistics Cells (NLC) has been declared first in the three-day exhibition of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) at convention centre Islamabad. Around fifty national and multinational organizations had set-up their stalls at the exhibition showcasing equipments and gadgets used for rescue operations. These organizations had also pictorially highlighted their contributions during October 8, 2005 devastating earthquake. NLC, the logistics crisis management organization, had also highlighted their otherwise less known contribution in the earthquake through pictures of engineers and transport fleet on their stall. Meanwhile, NLC authorities briefed the visitors about significance of maintaining uninterrupted logistics chain during natural calamities in order to ensure transportation of much needed supplies to the victims in emergencies.
