ISLAMABAD (Online) - Traders leader Sohail Hussain on Sunday asked Chief Justice Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to provide relief to masses by taking suo moto note of various business mafias operating openly in Pakistan. He said that land and real estate mafia, poultry, fertilizer, gas, LPG, rice, brokers and other mafias have made life miserable for the people. They are milking masses while the departments supposed to overseeing the interests of masses have adopted the role of silent spectator which has disappointed masses. Some departments as well as top government functionaries have simply decided to support mafias, said Malik Sohail, VP NTA, President Traders Welfare Association (TWA), Blue Area and former SVP, ICCI. Judiciary was restored through a movement duly participated by traders but if traders protest against something in a peaceful manner, they are dealt as criminals. People are still running from pillar to post to get justice and same gangs of wealthy agriculturists are ruling the country. This business mafia is welcomed and supported everywhere while mediocre traders are dubbed as profiteers, plunderer and Qabza group which is a great injustice. Government is also supporting the owners of shops by avoiding to introduce a just tenancy act since last three decades, the business leaders said. They said that superior judiciary should step forward to redress the grievances of common man lest they start looking for some other forces for relief.
