KHYBER AGENCY - AHMAD NABI - Two volunteers of government supported peace Lashkar, Taweed-ul-Islam (TI) were killed and three others sustained injuries in an explosive device blast here on Thursday in tehsil Landi Kotal, official and local sources informed.
The sources said that a heavy intensity bomb planted by unknown militants burst inside the hideout of the Lashkar. Two armed persons of TI were killed on the spot, sources said. The three wounded were shifted to Peshawar hospital due to precarious condition, the sources added. It is important to note that Taweed-ul-Islam and banned Lashker-e-Islam have confronted since long for the hold of territory.
Meanwhile, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by unknown militants in a graveyard was defused by the forces here in Pero Khel area of tehsil Landi Kotal, official sources said. Miscreants fixed a bomb in a plastic bag which was noticed by the school going children and other passersby, sources said.
They informed the local administration officials who alongwith Frontier Corps personnel rushed to the spot, cordoned off the whole area and defused the device, the sources said.
