PBC condemns attack on Malala

ISLAMABAD - Akhtar Hussain, Vice-Chairman, Pakistan Bar Council, has strongly condemned the brutal attack on the life of minor girl Malala Yousafzai in Swat by religious extremists of Taliban as admitted by them.
He prayed for her early recovery and good health and also prayed that Allah may grant her courage to continue her mission of education particularly for female section of Society. Akhtar Hussain further said that the extremism and intolerance is destroying the healthy human development in the society and appealed all the Bar Associations and entire legal fraternity, the civil society, the peace loving people and all democratic forces in the Country to raise voice against such extremism to create a culture of tolerance for strengthening the democratic polity and economic well being of the people.
APP adds: District Bar Association (DBA) Islamabad on Thursday observed partial strike against terrorist attack on youngest peace award winner Malala Yousafzai and demanded arrest the culprits.
Talking to this agency the spokesman of District Bar Association, Khalid Hassan said that special prayers offered at district bar room for the early recovery of Malala Yousafzai in which lawyers including President Bar Association, Syed Javed Iqbal Shah, General secretary, Ayub Arbab Gujar and ex-General Secretary, Riasat Ali Azad advocate participated.
The participants strongly condemned the attack on Malala Yousufzai and demanded of government to arrest the culprits and award them exemplary punishment.
They also expressed solidarity with Malala Yousufzai and prayed for early recovery of all the injured girls.
