RAWALPINDI – The government of Punjab has decided to close down the laboratories constructed for environment protection in six cities of the province, including Rawalpindi. These laboratories were built with the objective of protection and improvement of the environment and to research and monitor the environment to protect it from any kind of pollution.
These labs had nothing to do for last three months and utility bills, rent of the offices and the furniture degradation was causing loss to the provincial government.
Therefore, the government decided to close down the environment laboratories in six cities, including Rawalpindi. The employees of the laboratories were informed of their firing, which spread annoyance among them.
